asington Sports Football Club is a fantastic example of the important role
that a club can play in their local community by providing people with a
safe and enjoyable environment in which to play the game. We recently caught up
with Club Representative Jamie Hunter to find out more about the good work they
have been doing lately.
Atmosphere
He told us, “These are very exciting
times at Easington Sports FC. We are
continuing to grow as a club and continue
to improve facilities. Next month sees
the installation of floodlights at Addison
Road which is the final phase of a busy 12
months.
We have been hugely successful on
the pitch from the Men’s team through
to the youth section. However one of
the key factors to success at Easington
Sports is the relationship between the
players, parents and coaches. Many of
the committee/managers/parents have
known each other for some time, or been
team mates, which helps create a positive
environment to push the club forward
and makes us unique from others.”
