Spixworth FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/FOOTYFOCUSMAG The season so far is the best in the clubs history, we recently broke a 54 year league record of 19 consecutive wins, and we are currently 21 games unbeaten and sit top of the league, 20 points clear and with the prospect of promotion on the horizon things can only get better.” Success “The recent good form has been brewing for the past season or two, with the new management team of managers Mark and Andrew and 1st team coaches Duane and Paul they have put together a really strong squad and Duane and Paul have the lads working hard at training whilst making it enjoyable. Our chairman Clive Cook has really freshened up the club up since taking over last season, along with brilliant people behind the scenes who help run the club, we all have the same ethos and all work together to put the club in a great position.” Community “We certainly like to think we have a good link with the Spixworth locals, many who come to watch us on a Saturday. We use the social club as our match day hospitality, which helps keeps the social club going in difficult times. We also hold fundraising events which the residents of Spixworth often take part in.” Challenges “We have applied for promotion to Step 6, so therefore the challenges we will face will be to hopefully continue winning games and gaining promotion up the football ladder. We believe we have enough at the club to keep the standard of players high whilst we climb the ladder. We recently found out that the Parish Council has kicked us off our pitch for next season after nearly ten years being there, this is a great shame as the club has ploughed in huge amounts of money to improve the changing rooms, new dugouts etc. so are disappointed with the decision.” Ambitions “As previously mentioned we applied for promotion, if granted and a suitable new home is found which will hopefully be confirmed shortly, and we continue our form, the club would like to be in the position to apply for promotion to Step 4 Ryman League Division 1 in the coming years.” PAGE ELECTRICAL Carters Washing and Sealing Ltd are a family based company operating in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire.
