The club is actively involved in the local community with the clubhouse being used for a variety of events throughout the year . The club also organises a very successful five mile road race as part of the Cornwall Grand Prix series and has a Gala Weekend when money is raised for local charities .
Since joining the CSWPL the club has twice won the award for ‘ best matchday experience ’ which is voted for by the other clubs in the league . The club prides itself on the hospitality given to visiting clubs and their followers at both Senior and Junior level .
The playing surface is maintained to the highest standard and admired by the majority of those that visit . The clubhouse has been extended and refurbished a number of times and there will be other improvements to the site as a whole .
On the commercial side the club does its best to maximise the commercial potential and has now filled the majority of all sides of the ground with advertising boards . It must however be remembered that Sticker is a small village of c 1500 inhabitants and is limited somewhat with its drawing power especially as the large conurbation of St . Austell is just three miles distant .
If the club does realise its ambition to have a side playing at Step 6 it will of course entail more hard work by the committee to increase funding not just for improved infrastructure but also to cater for increased travelling and other necessary expenses at a higher level .
