Proud Sponsors of Worsbrough Bridge Athletic
After a bright start the mid-season saw a dip in form resulting
in a change of manager but with the smallest playing budget in
the league the club are outside of the bottom places and looking
to finish strongly with an improved squad from the start of the
season.
We are now looking to complete the season and get enough
points to avoid relegation from the NCEL league and then build
for next season. We have plans in place to develop our ladies
and junior sections with new teams for next season and we will
be finalising these plans during the rest of the campaign as well
as working on developments to our ground, notably floodlights
and drainage.”
Youth
“With one junior team and an under 19’s team currently
attached to the club we are looking to further develop our youth
section next season with more junior teams and potentially an
under 18’s.
Youth players are invited to senior games to integrate with the
first team and enjoy a pathway of progression through our under
19’s into reserves and then first team duty, with Dylan Jackson,
Joe Egan, Jake Fenton and Jordan Machen all progressing from
the 19s set up into our first team squad during this campaign.”

Challenges/Ambitions
“The biggest challenge for the club is gaining volunteers and
financial support. Our football board is lean in terms of numbers
and as football at this level moves on the need to compete
financially becomes ever more difficult. We are probably one of
only two teams in the league that have no player budget to push
on to a better standard.
Our ambition is to be a community focused financially stable
and self-sufficient club with an increased number of junior, youth
and ladies teams. The ambition is be able to compete with other
clubs within the Northern Counties League and re-develop our
stadium to a place that attracts supporters, sponsors and players
with a good and positive reputation within the community.”
