Bridlington had been unbeaten in
their previous eight games, winning six
and drawing two and would have been
confident of gaining the win given that
they had defeated Barton 4-1 in their
previous meeting.
Barton Town are battling for every
point available at the moment however
and if they continue to produce this level
of performance then they will be in with a
superb chance of beating the drop. There
is a confidence among the players that
they have the ability to do just that. Barton Town Old Boys is not a club
to focus solely upon their senior team
however as they also have a youth side.
This team looks to provide youngsters
from the local area with an opportunity
to play the game in a safe and enjoyable
environment whilst helping them to reach
their full potential.
It is important for any side looking to
be successful to be able to produce their
own talent and this is an area that they
appear to have covered. It will certainly
be exciting to see how their youngsters
are able to progress in the coming years.
It has undoubtedly been a difficult
season for Barton Town Old Boys but this should not take away from some
of the good work that has been carried
out at the club. Their performances on
the field lately are giving them a good
chance of avoiding relegation but either
way, they have been working hard to
lay solid foundations for the future. If
they continue in the same manner then
it should only be a matter of time before
results pick up on the field. Everyone at
