Over the years Blackstones FC has put together a history of which they have
every right to be proud, having first joined the United Counties League
Division One in 1984 and they managed to finish second in the 1987/88
season which saw them promoted. They continued to compete in the
Premier Division right the way through until 2013.
One of their most successful seasons
came in the 2003/04 campaign when they
managed to make it to four cup finals.
They eventually won the Lincolnshire
FA Senior ‘A’ Cup and this proved to
be a catalyst for steady improvement
over the coming years. In 2004/05 they
finished fifteenth, climbing to tenth in
2005/06, eighth in 2006/07 and then
fourth in 2007/08.
They have won the Lincs Senior
‘A’ Cup on two other occasions in the
1992/93 and 2007/08 seasons. Over the
years their first team has also secured other
cup triumphs including the League Knock Out Cup in 2002/03 and the Lincs Senior
Trophy in 2010/11. The current group of
players will no doubt be keen to add to
these successes over the coming years.
At present, their first team
competes in the Chroma Sport United
Counties League Division 1 and they
are based on Lincoln Road. They are
led by the team of Chairman Gary
Peace and President Bill Sewell and
the club is looking to progress under
their guidance.
