The most challenging aspect has to be finding time! “The mood at the club at the moment is buoyant. The season has gone very well. Our target was to rebuild and return to the Premier Division and at the time of writing we are just one point away from that so are hoping to clinch promotion soon. “Youth football is very important to our future. This had been ignored for too long at the club. The addition of junior teams and an under 18 team will cement that next season. With our facilities and new infrastructure we aim to have the best set up in the area. “We ensure our managers work with the younger teams so they know the players and can give them opportunities to gain experience when they are ready. “We still have work to do to get our ground up to Ryman standard so we have to work at fund raising. Like all clubs at our level the constant demands for facilities to progress means the money has to be found from somewhere. “The proposed re structure of the leagues to reduce travel is a must and will make progression easier for clubs like us. A second big challenge will be to find additional volunteers to strengthen our committees at all levels. Over the coming years we are targeting promotion to the Ryman South League.” www.footballfocusmag.com 23
