Eastwood Community
“The mood is great at the club. Our facility gets 4000 visitors
a week at the variety of levels. Our first team is on the brink of
promotion, which will be earlier that we expected.
“Youth football is very important; we aim to increase
participation especially at youth level. We are growing our youth
section rapidly and it will form the future of our club. It’s our hope
that our U12 of today will be our first team players at the higher
level in years to come.
“We look to provide our young players with a smooth transition
to the senior game through support from our fantastic coaches,
clear player pathways and plenty of opportunity for experience.
We have had a number of our youth team players representing the
club at senior level.
“Eastwood Community Football Club is a CIC. Community is
core to our club. We engage with the local community not just
via football but with the community using our facility for a wide
range of activity.
“Growth from a one pitch facility will be our biggest challenge.
We have had over £900,000 invested in our facility with a 5000
capacity 3G stadia ground. As our youth teams grow we will need
to expand our facility to meet demand, we are working hard as a
club to manage that challenge.”
