So far this season they have put together a record of thirteen
wins, six draws and nineteen defeats from their thirty eight
matches. This has left them sitting in a safe mid-
table position with forty five points on the
board.
They will now be looking to put
together a good run of results in
their remaining fixtures in order
to finish the campaign on a
high and build momentum
for their 2017-18 campaign.
As long as they are able to
retain their current group
of players they should
be in with a good
chance of pushing on
up the league next time
around.
As well as a senior
side,
New
Milton
Town also run U18
and Reserve teams.
This helps to give young
players a clear pathway
into the senior game,
offering players a chance
to experience adult level
football even if they are not yet
considered ready for first team
action which can be an important step
in the development process.
It is important for any club looking to be
successful over a sustained period of time to be able

to produce their own talent and this is an area that they appear
to have covered. It will certainly be exciting to see how their
youngsters can progress in the coming years.
Perhaps the highlight of the season so far
has been the form of the club’s Ladies’
first team who currently sit in 2nd
place in the league with thirty one
points on the board. They have
two games in hand on the
leaders and can go top if they
win them both.
A particular highlight
of the team’s play has
been the attacking brand
of football that they have
been able to produce
with an incredible 71
goals scored in their
fourteen
matches.
Winning their league
would be a just reward
for all of the hard work
that has gone into making
the side a success.
