St Johns FC is enjoying a solid campaign this time around and has plenty to play for in the remainder of the season with the side still in two cup competitions . Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with Secretary Bruce McGregor to find out more .
He told us . “ Billy ( Bennett ) and myself have been involved with the club for 35 years . I got involved as my brother was playing for them ; I came to watch and joined the committee . For more than ten years I have been Secretary / Treasurer . Billy came to fix a water boiler in 1982 and never left ! He became a committee member soon after , for more than ten years he ’ s been Chairman .”
“ The cost of running the club is becoming more and more challenging . The cost of pitch hire has risen by more than 50 % in the last few years . We have to pay for changing facilities
