For football to be successful over a sustained period at senior level it is vital that there is a steady supply of young talent coming through and this is an area Rainford Rangers contribute to significantly . It will certainly be exciting to see how their youngsters progress over the coming years .
Their success is reliant on people giving up their time to cover a variety of different tasks to make sure that children can come along and enjoy themselves . Fortunately the club has a fantastic group of volunteers that work together to achieve this goal and their quality is reflected in the results they have been consistently achieving .
The development of a successful girls section at the club has been a particular highlight of the fine work that they have been doing . It also highlights their commitment to providing anyone with an interest in the game with the chance to take part .
Women ’ s football has been growing in popularity significantly in recent years and Rainford Rangers now have three sides up and running . They are always keen to welcome new players and would advise anyone with an interest to get in touch .
Last season the club also took the decision to host their own tournament for the first time and it turned out to be a huge success . As a result they will be running the tournament again this year which will be taking place on the weekend of the 10th and 11th June 2017 .
As well as the football , there will also be plenty to do for the rest of the family with food and beverage stalls and a good time is sure to be had by all who attend . As well as winner ’ s medals , every player taking part will also receive a participation medal .
Last year the club was able to celebrate its fine history as they reached the significant milestone of their 40th anniversary . The celebrations included a three course meal followed by entertainment including a live band .
There is clearly a lot to admire about the superb set up that Rainford Rangers currently has in place and the role that they play in their local community should not be underestimated . Hopefully they will be able to continue in the same manner for many years to come and everyone at Football Focus Magazine would like to take this opportunity to wish them the best of luck for the future .
