hitstable Town FC is a club that is committed to playing an important role in their local community and have also been enjoying a productive season on the pitch this time around . We caught up with Club Representative Joseph C Brownett to find out more about the club .
He told us , “ I have had various spells as chairman over the last thirty years . And it ’ s because of my love of football that I have continued to support Whitstable Town through thick and thin .”
“ I would say the most challenging aspects for any chairman is keeping the club solvent and ensuring that everyone is united in their efforts in keeping the club respected throughout football .
“ Whitstable Town had gone through some troubling times over the past four years , finding itself with financial problems and also having to face relegation in 2015 / 2016 . Despite these problems the club and the supporters have rallied around and now find lots of optimism for the future .
“ In the current season the club is playing in the South East Counties League and all aspects of the club have improved dramatically . The results see the club on an eight match unbeaten run and interest in two cup ties . The club has improved its clubhouse bringing much more revenue with increased bar sales etc . as well .
“ The club has a progressive manager in Scott Porter and he , along with assistant Bob Reardon wants a return to the Ryman League as soon as possible . They have
