in the division and are still alive in a couple of cup competitions . Our Ladies side , and a number of youth teams , are also enjoying great campaigns and fighting for silverware , which is great .
We ’ ve also added two girls ’ teams for this season and expanded our Community Football offering , which we ’ re really pleased with .
FF : What are your plans for the rest of the campaign ?
AW : In terms of our first team , we ’ re hoping to achieve a top half finish in the league , and that will be a just reward for the management and players for the commitment they have shown . Although there ’ s a still a number of good sides left in the competition , it would also be great to get as far as possible in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup , for which we have a quarter final upcoming .
FF : How important is youth football to the club ?
AW : Youth football is vital for us . We operate one of the largest youth sections in Wiltshire – some twenty teams – and pride ourselves on that . Our aim is to offer football for players of all ages and abilities , while also developing players who will hopefully go on to play for our senior adult sides .
Our First , Reserve and Ladies sides all have players playing for them who have been with the club from a young age , and we want to continue to see more of that in the future . And the only way to achieve that is to have a thriving youth section .
