Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme

For many football clubs across the country it can be difficult to raise the money necessary to cover a variety of different costs . The need to survive will always be the first goal and this can lead to facilities being put to the back of a clubs priorities when it comes to spending money .
The Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme can help in this area however , awarding grants of up to £ 10,000 for the provision of capital items or to refurbish / improve existing facilities .
It is stated on www . footballfoundation . org . uk that the aims of the scheme are to , “ Support the growth of football clubs and activity , prevent a decline in football participation and make improvements to facilities to address any health and safety issues .”
The maximum total project cost is £ 50,000 and the grants cannot exceed 50 % of the eligible project cost . The maximum amount an organisation can apply for is £ 10,000 running from 1 June to 31 May which must be through a single grant application .
The scheme is available to :
• Local authorities
• Educational establishments
• grassroots football clubs ( not including those in the National League System )
• Professional and semi-professional football clubs and their associated community organisations .
Grant limits
The grants available range from a minimum of £ 1,000 up to a maximum of £ 10,000 although smaller amounts may be available when applying for funding towards the replacement of unsafe goalposts .
