Spondon Dynamos FOOTBALL CLUB
pondon Dynamos was first founded in 1974 and has put together a history of which they have every right to be proud . The club built itself up in its early years before taking the decision to split into junior and senior sections in the year 2000 .
The junior teams range from under 5 ’ s through to Under 18 ’ s with the sides competing in the Derby Community or the Derby City Leagues . The club aims to have two or three sides competing at every age group depending on the numbers they have available .
In 2016 the club experienced further developments with it being announced that they would be linking up with Graham St Prims . This set up sees
Spondon Dynamos running the junior sides and Prims running the seniors . This was introduced to ensure that junior players would be given a clear development pathway in order to help them to transition into the senior game .
It would be fair to say that the first team at senior level has not perhaps enjoyed the campaign that they would have liked this time around , having put together a run of seven wins , two draws and nineteen defeats from their twenty eight matches . This has left them sitting near the bottom of the table with twenty three points on the board .
They will now be looking to put together a good run of results in order to push on up the table . As long as they are able to keep their current group of players together and perhaps make one or two quality additions they should be in with a good chance of doing just that .
