ivenhoe Town FC has achieved plenty of success in recent times , winning their league last season and gaining promotion . Football Focus Magazine caught up with club representative Mo Osman to find out how they have been getting along this time around
FF : What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of your role ?
MO : Time management is important as the club is run by volunteers . The most rewarding aspect is providing a club people can be proud to be part of and putting a smile on their faces .
Team wise the challenge is the same as for most levels ; clubs with budgets offering silly money for our players , which we are unable to compete with .
FF : How ’ s the general mood down at the club at the moment ?
MO : The pattern of moods in clubs are always quite similar in that when you ’ re winning its always a little more upbeat and when you ’ re not there is always concern , but in fairness during in my time at the club the fans have always shown great support towards the management team and whoever is playing for the side .
FF : How would you say the season has gone for the club so far ?
MO : After winning promotion as Champions last season we began this campaign very strongly , but after losing a few keys players to local rivals , an exodus of a handful of players followed so we are just steadying the ship and look to turn the results round but football changes very quickly and sometimes when you least expect it . We are now aiming to consolidate our position in the Thurlow Nunn Premier
Division over the remainder of the season .
