Port of Bristol FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/FOOTYFOCUSMAG Port of Bristol FOOTBALL CLUB P ort of Bristol FC produced a solid campaign last season, securing a top half finish but have taken the decision to make the move to the Bristol and Suburban Football League this time around. Football Focus Magazine takes a look at how they are faring in their new league. Their start to the league season has been promising with their first team putting together a record of three wins and just one defeat from their first four matches. This has left them sitting just off of the leaders with nine points on the board. This should provide them with an excellent platform from which to go on and put together a successful campaign. As long as they are able to retain their current group of players and can perhaps make one or two quality additions they should be in with a good chance of mounting a serious title challenge. One of the highlights of the team’s performances has been the attacking brand of football that they have been producing. This has been reflected by the fact that they have already found the back of the net ten times at a rate of more than two per game. This will certainly have meant that any supporters attending their games will have been well entertained and “Port of Bristol FC is a club that is committed to playing an important role in their local community and this is reflected by the fact that they also have a reserve side running.” 58 Issue 65
