over the remainder of the campaign and
would like to start a 3rd girls’ team to
emerge.
“Developing young players is a major
priority for us and it is important to ensure
that they enjoy a smooth transition into
the senior game. Manager’s rise through
the age groups with their teams so there
is a constant - we support all our teams
totally.
“We are a community club with FA
Charter Standard Community status and
plan for more girl’s teams, a disabled team
and improved facilities at Valley Park.”
There is clearly much to admire about
the superb set up that Vinters has in
place and they recognise the contribution
that their players make at their annual
Presentation Evening. Over 400 people
attend with awards given for most
improved player, manager’s player and
player’s player for every age group.
All the members in the development
squad receive a training award whilst
there are long service awards given to
players that have been with the club for 5
and 10 years. It is great to see the players
being rewarded for their efforts but credit
and recognition should also go to the
volunteers that give up their time to make
Vinters FC the terrific club that it is.
