irst established in 1977,
Bamber Bridge United JFC
is a Central Lancashire JFL
Founder Member Club
and is also a Mid Lancashire Colts
JFL Club. They are led by Chairman
Neil Calvert who is supported by Vice
Chairman Andy Thornhill and the
club is progressing well under their
guidance.
They are a club that is committed
to providing young players from the
local area with an opportunity to
play the game in a safe and enjoyable
environment whilst helping them to
reach their full potential.
They do a fantastic job in this regard
which makes them a vital part of their
local community. Clubs such as Bamber
Bridge JFC are a vital part of the English
game and their Committee deserve a
tremendous amount of credit. Hopefully
they will be able to continue in the same
manner for many years to come.
Coaching staff involved with their
teams are confident that they have a
number of players currently involved
with the potential to go on and have
a bright future in the game. It will
certainly be exciting to see how they are
able to progress over the coming years.
This season has been a huge
success for the club with their players
enjoying the game and learning plenty
in terms of football skills and perhaps
more importantly key skills including
teamwork, leadership and fairplay. As
the season draws to a close the team
are making plans to celebrate their
achievements with two presentation
Evenings combined with a race night.
The older teams involved with the
club from Under 11’s to U16’s event will
be staged on the 12th June whilst the
