Restaurant
Weeks
Restaurant weeks are
mini-foodie celebrations
that last from 7-14 days, and usually include special deals
and/or prix fixe menus for diners during that time. Hundreds
of restaurants within a given area participate, and fine-dining
is much more accessible as a weeknight dinner. Special menu
items are revealed by chefs to promote the restaurants, and
reservations are strongly encouraged.
Two cities with upcoming restaurant weeks are Pittsburgh and Chicago. Pittsburgh will host its kickoff party on January 7th and the preview
weekend of the 8th-10th will announce early specials. Dine your way
through Pittsburgh, where you will find new dishes for the new year,
places where you can bring your own booze, and cocktail-specific celebrations.
Featured restaurants on Pittsburgh’s winter 2016 list include but are not
limited to: Asiago’s Tuscan Italian, Meat & Potatoes, Morton’s Steakhouse, Nine on Nine, Osteria 2350, BRGR, Eddie Merlot’s, and The
Twisted Frenchman.
