Salt Lake
City
UTAH
This vibrant capital of Utah does not immediately come to
mind when looking for a craft brew or a lively bar scene,
but there are actually many places for the beer enthusiast
to visit within Salt Lake City. Being at the center of Utah’s
metropolitan scene, Salt Lake City offers a handful of toprated nightlife establishments, such as Under Current, The
Rest, and Whiskey Street. Take a tour and sit in for tastings
at the Proper Brewing Company, which also provides
classic barroom games like skee ball and pool, and the
full-service restaurant pairs each beer gracefully with the
simple menu items.
Along with the booming craft brewery scene, Salt
Lake City has much culture to share with visitors, from
attending festivals to browsing art galleries. Fresh farmer’s
markets offer bright colors and local interaction, and the
surroundings of Utah’s pristine natural environment make
each minute outside one to remember.
For foodies, there is plenty to get excited about when
visiting Salt Lake City. Current, a fish and oyster restaurant,
made OpenTable’s list of 100 Best Restaurants in America
for 2016. Current’s architectural combination of modern,
sleek booths and large tiles, accompanied by industrial
ceilings and exposed brick, make for an artistic atmosphere
when dining with friends and family.
For starters, try the smoked clam dip with potato chips,
chives, and sour cream. Share a seafood tower, with
options for parties of 4-6 or 2-3 people, that comes with
oysters, shrimp, mussels, and lobster tails. Seafood in a
landlocked state? This question begs to be answered by
experience, and Current’s eclectic menu will make you a
believer after sitting down for a meal here.
