THE TRAIL
The Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail is comprised of
eight locally-owned barbecue joints. From sit down
restaurants to food trucks, you’ll find the barbecue
as varied as the pit masters who create it. Whether
it’s the meat, the sides, or homemade desserts,
these folks put their heart and soul into making your
experience unforgettable.
one of the most popular food trucks with locals is
KB’s BBQ. owned and operated by father and son
team Kevin and Cullen Broll, the guys at KB’s cook
their brisket with a special spice and mesquite
wood for more than 20 hours in an offset smoker.
You’ll get a deep smoke flavor in your meats here.
in addition to the basics, you’ll find a variety of daily
specials. a few of my favorites are the loaded
smoked chicken avocado, smoked meatloaf,
brisket enchiladas, and brisket-topped mesquite
smoked burgers!
