Did you know Harford County maintains over 80 park and recreation facilities for the enjoyment of all? If you love the outdoors, Harford County is home to Susquehanna State Park. With its hiking and biking trails, this park is a favorite for all ages. And don’t forget to visit the Conowingo Dam, at one time the largest hydroelectric facility, second only to Niagara Falls. The dam offers a great place for fisher- man to try their hand at catching numerous species of fish. The park and dam are also an attraction for professional and amateur photographers during the fall Bald Eagle mi- gration. Rocks State Park is just a short drive away, offering more hiking trails and the King and Queen Seat – where the Susquehannock Indians held their tribal meetings. Kil- gore Falls is the 2 nd highest free falling waterfall in Mary- land. This beautiful waterfall was used in the Disney movie Tuck Everlasting. Harford is home to three municipalities. In 2017, Aberdeen, home of the Aberdeen Proving Ground. military base is celebrating its 100 th anniversary of supporting our military men and women, with its focus on testing numerous technologies for the United States.
