Did you know Harford County maintains over 80 park and
recreation facilities for the enjoyment of all? If you love the
outdoors, Harford County is home to Susquehanna State
Park. With its hiking and biking trails, this park is a favorite
for all ages. And don’t forget to visit the Conowingo Dam,
at one time the largest hydroelectric facility, second only
to Niagara Falls. The dam offers a great place for fisher-
man to try their hand at catching numerous species of fish.
The park and dam are also an attraction for professional
and amateur photographers during the fall Bald Eagle mi-
gration. Rocks State Park is just a short drive away, offering
more hiking trails and the King and Queen Seat – where
the Susquehannock Indians held their tribal meetings. Kil-
gore Falls is the 2 nd highest free falling waterfall in Mary-
land. This beautiful waterfall was used in the Disney movie
Tuck Everlasting.
Harford is home to three municipalities. Enjoy our Arts
and Entertainment Districts in Bel Air and Havre de Grace.
In 2017, Aberdeen, home of the Aberdeen Proving
Ground. military base is celebrating its 100 th anniversary
