Have your say
about funding
MORE SOUTH Australians are having their say
about community projects that matter to them.
The $1 million Fund My Community program
allows the public to vote online for projects to
receive funding support, and to learn about the
organisations that deliver them. Under Fund
My Community, one-off grants between
$10,000 and $100,000 are provided to
community organisations.
In 2015, South Australians were invited to
vote for Fund My Community projects for the
first time. This year, the focus is on improving
people’s wellbeing.

Court support for
victims of violence
A FREE and confidential service is providing
better support in the court system for women
experiencing domestic and family violence.
The Women’s Domestic Violence Court
Assistance Service helps women deal
successfully with court systems and increases
their access to justice.
Lawyers support and advocate on behalf of
women who may find it difficult to apply for
an intervention order or report an intervention
order breach.
The service, which is delivered by the Victim
Support Service, operates in close liaison with
SA Police, and can be accessed throughout
South Australia.
