The staff at Lansdowne offers guests the option of guided hikes along the Potomac River. Hikers are introduced to local flora such as pawpaw trees producing the delicious pawpaw fruit. If you would prefer to move a little faster, mountain bikes are available. Guided kayaking and fishing trips are also offered through a partnership with Fish and Explore, who will ensure your excursion is informative, enjoyable and safe. Golf is the main game at Lansdowne. There are three courses available only to members and resort guests. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. course is a classic 18-hole course with stunning walkways featuring woodlands and historic rock walls. The more challenging, Greg Norman course features rolling landscapes and is a 7,332- yard, par-72 golf course. The Greg Norman’s Sharkbite course is a 9-hole course, perfect for juniors or if you’re in a rush. The spa at Lansdowne is the perfect place to unwind and pamper yourself. Treatments incorporate ingredients local to Loudoun County including vinotherapy, which is more than just drinking wine, and involves using local Virginia wines in facial, massage and nail treatments. The fitness center is also quite impressive with CrossFit, Spinning, Yoga, TRX Suspension Training and everything you can imagine at a gym including a heated indoor pool.
