Downtown Leesburg offers unique shopping and many dining options. Beer lovers will rejoice at Delirium Café USA located on the corner of N. King Street and Loudoun Street N.W. right in the center of town. With over 400 varieties of beer available, you’ll recognize your favorite suds from Belgium and beyond. In addition to beer, Delirium Café USA has upscale pub food with locally sourced ingredients. Wine lovers need only to walk a block from Delirium to find themselves at The Wine Kitchen where many local, national and international wines are available to enjoy. Their seasonal bistro menu uses organic ingredients from local farmers. Wine flights and shared plates are encouraged. We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the burrata. HOLIDAYS IN LEESBURG FREEZE YOUR GIZZARD The 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run are scheduled for the weekend before Thanksgiving at Ida Lee Park. The cross-country route runs through both Ida Lee and Morven Parks. Saturday, November 17 HOLIDAY FINE ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW Featuring over 90 local and regional artisans selling great hand-made items for your holiday list including stained glass, carved wood, leather products, candles and more. December 1 & 2 CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT Leesburg First Friday is a big celebration bringing out locals and visitors to celebrate the arts. On every first Friday of the month (excluding January), the historic downtown core of Leesburg alights with festivities including wine tasting, art exhibits, musical performances, and comedy shows. Built in 1932, the Tally Ho Theater hosts a variety of artist and events including Led Zeppelin tribute shows to local singer-songwriting, Jason Masi. If visual arts are more your taste, you’ll enjoy perusing the many art galleries located downtown. Check out The Cooley Gallery for beautiful oil paintings from Virginia artists like Ann Marie Coolick. For more modern art, pop into Tryst Gallery where you’ll find work by over 40 local artists including paintings to mixed media. Celebrate the season at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Town Green of historic downtown Leesburg. The festive ceremony will feature performances from local groups and a holiday message. Crowds are encouraged to join in the festivities and view the lighting of the Christmas tree. Friday, December 7 ROCKIN’ WITH RUDOLPH AND FRIENDS! Children up to the age of 8 years old are invited to this wonderful event at Ida Lee. Bring your camera and dancing shoes! Santa will be on hand for picture opportunities and to hear wish lists. Then join Rudolph and Frosty as they rock out to holiday favorites and other kid’s tunes while dancing the night away! Friday, December 7 ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE On the second Saturday of December, the holiday spirit will be in full swing as Leesburg hosts the annual holiday parade starting at 6pm. The parade will usher Santa and his friends down King Street, through Historic Leesburg. Saturday, December 8 ROOTS RUN DEEP Leesburg is surrounded by agriculture, including grapes used to make Virginia wine. One of the leading wineries in the area is Casanel Vineyards & Winery. Family owned and operated, the team at Casanel is led by winemaker, Katie DeSouza Henley and her sister, Anna DeSouza Want. Offering tours and tastings, the winery is set in the lush farmland not far from downtown Leesburg.
