GETTING THERE
The Shaw neighborhood is served by the Green and Yellow Metrorail lines via the U
Street/African-American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Station, Shaw-Howard University
Station, and Mount Vernon Square Station. There is also bus service within Shaw, which
connects the area with the Waterfront and Silver Spring via 7th Street. The G2 bus
connects Georgetown University and Howard University. Shaw is accessible from the
freeway, and transit from Shaw to the White House is only ten minutes. Reagan National
Airport is around twenty minutes from Shaw via public transit, and Dulles International
Airport, via car, is around 40 minutes away.
