An Open Letter to All Shakespearean Men

When will the lies end,

You Shakespearean men,

Who paw the Veronan, the Elsinoran ladies?

Much more death have you caused,

For the sake of applause,

Than, I should think, has been given to Hades.

With a letter, an ode

A dame’s heart you will goad

Then turn around and leave her for dead.

A knife thrust to its hilt

For you no sense of guilt

On your hands not a trace of red
