In all the excitement, Alex lost track of time.

Swoosh! Mom and Grandpa stood in front of Alex. In fact, Grandpa landed on Alex.

Ouch! Get off my foot!"

Grandpa teleported everywhere because his legs weren’t so good. He hadn't mastered the landing yet.

What’s that you’ve got?” asked Grandpa, his blue eyes brightening. “A book, I guess.”

“Where in the world…?” Mom started to ask. Then she saw the old red shed, with its door wide open.

“I thought you got rid of the books years ago."

"It's the last one," Grandpa said, but he winked at Alex at the same time.

Mom's voice rose. "Books gather dust and spiders. They’re a fire hazard. And they're banned!” She frowned at Grandpa. “What else have you got in that shed of yours?”

“Just some old junk.” Grandpa winked at Alex. “Did you get to the part where Zeus battles the Titans?”

Old Time junk is not allowed!” said Mom. “Alex doesn’t need books. He has plenty of data on his headphones and computer.”

Not yet.” Alex answered his grandfather. He opened the book again.

Mom leaned to look at a picture of a woman with flowing hair standing next to a marble temple. “Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom,” she murmured. “I remember her.”
