There were times when I felt alone in my life, longed for a big family.

I moved to this region for a job. I hadn’t intended to, this area wasn’t my

first choice and at the time, I lived a couple of hours away, but it was this

board who took a chance on a girl right out of teacher’s college. When I

went for the interview at the small town school that eventually

employed me, I felt like I was home. It felt familiar and right. So, I made

the choice to sell my house, pack up and move. Now, looking back, I

question how much choice I actually had. If I’d looked closer, maybe

there were dimes in my path even then.
