OCTOBER October 20 Castillo by Candlelight: Taking the Plunge In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and the Centennial of the National Park Service, this special ticketed event asks visitors to follow in the footsteps of a young Spanish boy joining the Spanish Garrison at the Castillo to defend his home, his family and his country. Tours for this special ticketed event are available for 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Reserve tickets in advance by calling or stopping by the Castillo ticket booth. Tickets are limited, so advance reservations are recommended. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5-15 and free for youth under age 5. 1 S. The best dog costume and best team costume will be awarded a prize. Dog supplies will be collected and donated to the St. Johns County Animal Control Pet Center. All ages are welcome, and there is a $20 fee per person/dog.
