Founding of the Castillo de San Marcos
Join park staff, volunteers and members of Florida Living History
to commemorate the founding of the Castillo de San Marcos. In
conjunction with National Hispanic Heritage Month, volunteers
will honor this key date in American history and the Castillo’s
346 th anniversary with interpretations and demonstrations
on the construction of the Castillo from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.,
culminating in the re-enactment of the 1672 groundbreaking
ceremony at 3 p.m. Throughout the day, explore how this
undefeated fortress was planned and constructed to protect
this community and anchor the important trade route
back to Europe. General admission into the park is $10, and

EMMA Concert Association presents this concert to open
its 2018/2019 season. The concert takes place at Lewis

Datil Pepper Fall Festival
Celebrate St. Johns County’s official plant, the Datil Pepper,
at this festival that takes place at the UF/IFAS Extension
St. Johns County Agricultural Center. The event features vendors,
a plant sale, an amateur Datil Pepper hot sauce contest and a

Sykes Family Farms Crop Maze
This family friendly event offers a corn maze, hayride,
playgrounds, races and viewing of farm animals. The farm is
open Friday 6-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday
10 a.m.-5 p.m. General admission is $13 and is all inclusive.
