At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast bursts above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of Matanzas Bay. Admission is free with the best vantage points along the bayfront between the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions. Parking is available in the parking garage ($12). For a list go to www.FireworksOverTheMatanzas.com July 7, 14, 21 & 28 Adult Saltwater Fishing Workshop Washington Oaks Gardens State Park hosts a series of handson, saltwater fishing workshops to teach visitors the basic techniques for catching fish as well as the importance of conservation and safety. Adult workshops for ages 18 and over are scheduled for each Thursday in July. The threehour workshops start at 9 a.m. and cost $20 per participant, including park entrance fee.
