March 25 Blessing of the Fleet This is an annual event dating back to St. Augustine’s earliest history, where watercraft of all types, decorated with flags and bunting, receive a special blessing from the Bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine. The ceremony begins at noon with a procession from the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine along the Plaza de la Constitución to the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. 904-824-9725 www.staugustineyachtclub.com March 26 Knighting Ceremony The Knighting Ceremony hosted by the St. Augustine Easter Festival Committee and St. Augustine Royal Family will be held in the west courtyard of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine at 6 p.m. The event recognizes people in the St. Augustine community. The event is free and open to the public. 38 Cathedral Pl., St. Augustine 904-669-1485 www.oldestcityeaster.org March 26-April 1 ANA Inspiration Week at the Hall of Fame Catch all the action from the women’s first Major Championship of the 2018 season, the ANA Inspiration, at the World Golf Hall of Fame. Visit the museum to see memorabilia from past tournaments, including Amy Alcott’s famous robe she wore after jumping into Poppie’s Pond when she won the tournament for the third time in 1991. The museum is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday noon-6 p.m. General admission is $20.95. One World Golf Pl., St. Augustine 904-940-4133 www.worldgolfhalloffame.org March 28 Walk on the Wild Side This walk at Anastasia State Park from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. starts out on the beautiful shoreline, through the sand dunes, over the salt marsh, around Salt Run, the park’s estuarine habitat, and through the maritime hammock. The round-trip length is 2.5 miles at a leisurely pace. Suggested items to bring are binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray and sunscreen. Meet in the beach parking lot at the end of the main park road. This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation.
