March 3 Active Boomers and Seniors Expo For active Baby Boomers, seniors and caregivers, this event features more than 60 vendors plus live entertainment and health screenings. Exhibitor categories include leisure activities, health and fitness, finance, home and patio, living options, home care, legal and elder law, veteran’s services, mobility, holistic medicine, insurance and many more. This year commemorates the 250 th anniversary of the Menorcans arriving in Florida. The event is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will different types of pilau, baked goods and displays. The event is open to public and free for spectators. Awards will be presented for each age group in each event. In partnership with the Junior Service League’s Lighthouse 5K run and fun run, this special event is a great night of fun for the entire family. Admission to the lighthouse is free from 2-7 p.m. Explore the Light Station grounds, climb the 165 ft. tall lighthouse tower and discover maritime history at the new Maritime Archaeology & Education Center. There will be crafts, live music and refreshments. The 5K race is at 4:30 p.m., and the fun run is at 5:30 p.m. Come for the races and stay for the celebration. Meet in front of the ranger station. This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation.
