Matanzas 5K & Fun Run
This race takes participants throughout downtown St. Augustine
along the Matanzas River through the historic city and ends at
Castillo Drive. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., and the free fun run begins
at 9:15 a.m. The cost to register ranges from $35-$25. The race
starts next to Francis Field. Registration and additional information

Annual River Blessing at Alpine Groves Park
Join St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department and the
Stetson Kennedy Foundation for the Annual River Blessing at Alpine
Groves Park, 2060 S.R. 13 in Fruit Cove, from 9-11 a.m. Gather at
the riverfront next to the historic Bennett House for speakers from
the St. Johns Riverkeeper, Matanzas Riverkeeper and various
spiritual leaders followed by a ceremony of passing the bowl of
water. Participants are welcome to bring their own drums for the
ceremony. Following the blessing attendees are welcome to tour
Beluthahatchee Park, 1501 S.R. 13 in Fruit Cove, from
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Beluthahatchee Park was dedicated as the only
National Literary Landmark honoring two writers: Stetson Kennedy
