December 8 Santa Suits on the Loose 5K St. Augustine Youth Services hosts this 5K at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park. The race begins at 8 a.m. Registration ranges from $35-$20. The race route goes through St. Augustine Beach neighborhoods and starts and ends at the pier. This Discovery Marsh Walk program is from 2:30-3:30 p.m. A park ranger lead the way and explains the importance of estuarine systems while discovering the plant and animal life found in these natural communities. Binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray and sunscreen are recommended. Although this program is for children, parents/guardians are still required to be present. Meet at Anastasia Watersports located within the park.
