ONGOING EVENTS Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday Historic Weapon Demonstrations at Castillo de San Marcos National Park Service volunteers and personnel demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the Colonial Spanish soldier stationed in St. Augustine in the 1740s. Demonstration times are 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15, and admission for youth ages 15 and under is free. The fort is open 8:45 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. 1 S. Castillo Dr., St. Augustine 904-829-6506 www.nps.gov/casa First Wednesday Curator’s Tour A Lightner Museum curator conducts monthly tours featuring unique and special treasures of the museum at 10 a.m. and offers guests an intimate encounter with a select few of the Lightner’s eclectic relics. Tours are included in the price of admission. $15 for adults, $12 for active duty military and college students, $8 for youth ages 12-17 and free for youth ages 11 and under. 75 King St., St. Augustine 904-824-2874 www.lightnermuseum.org First Friday Art Walk From 5-9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month, the Art Galleries of St. Augustine feature new exhibits, refreshments and live music at many participating galleries. The event is held rain or shine and is a free, self-guided walking tour. Tour maps are available at participating galleries or on the website. Free Art Walk trains and trolleys are provided by Ripley’s Red Train Tours and Old Town Trolley Tours all months except December and January. 832-779-2781 www.artgalleriesofstaugustine.org First Saturday GTM Research Reserve Guided Exploration Hike Take a guided exploration hike that focuses on the Guana Peninsula’s 5,000 years of human history at 9 a.m. This 1.5-mile guided walking tour departs from the Trailhead Pavilion located just west of the Guana Dam.
