Colonial Nightwatch Weekend
The Colonial Nightwatch is pleased to join the National Park
Service in presenting the nighttime tour series called Enemy at the
Gates on Friday. This special presentation takes visitors through
various vignettes representing historical events during the siege
of 1740 in St. Augustine. On Saturday, join hundreds of costumed
re-enactors from St. Augustine’s Colonial history as they perform
military drills and cannon and musket firing on the grounds of the
Castillo de San Marcos. At 9 a.m., the Fife and Drum will raise the
colors and at 9:30 a.m., there will be a Change of Flags Ceremony
commemorating the event in 1763 when Florida changed from
Spanish to British hands. A torchlight parade will start at the Castillo
at 7 p.m. and march to the City Gate where the public is invited to
follow along to the Government House. 1 S. Castillo Dr.,

PAL Day
In appreciation for their service to our country, many St. Augustine
area attractions offer free admission to active military and free or
discounted admission for their families. This event, sponsored
by the Greater Jacksonville USO, also features a free lunch
provided by the St. Augustine Elks Lodge. PAL Day is a proud local
tradition in St. Augustine and a wonderful opportunity to show our
appreciation to our troops and their families. 1420 A1A South,
