A whole new world of photography, creativity, and fun opens up when you break the boundaries of traditional imagery and explore photographing abstracts! Abstract photography is all about taking the everyday objects and transforming them into something creative and mostly unrecognizable in comparison to their original form. Through instruction, hands-on work, and inspiration from your instructor and fellow participants, you will learn how to apply basic compositional guidelines while using a variety of lenses to create abstract images using motion blur, patterning, contrast, shadows, color theory, textures, edges, and more to design images that are artistic, ethereal, and fun! This session is always full of laughs, freedom, and creativity. It’s a great class for any level of photographer with any camera. Price: $25 | Max No People: 30 | Difficulty Level: Beginner As an increasing number of birders and nature enthusiasts are turning to photography, the choices can be overwhelming for gear and accessories. This session will introduce the main categories of cameras available, as well as the pros and cons of each type of camera--from point- and-shoots, DSLR and mirrorless cameras -- and even digiscoping. You’ll learn the basic terminology, key pros-and-cons of each type of camera, and how to determine your needs so that you select what’s right for you. Tips for selecting tripods, tripod heads, and truly helpful accessories will also be provided---all with a practical, budget-minded perspective so that you get what you need without over-buying gadgetry. **A note about Alligator Farm Field Workshops The Alligator Farm REQUIRES an ANNUAL PHOTO PASS for this workshop. **If you need a Photo Pass then please purchase our “I NEED AN ALLIGATOR FARM PHOTO PASS” ticket and a Photo Pass will be ordered for you.
