What’s the most comical or unusual comment someone has made to you? How did you deal with it?

“Oh, you lift weights?! Don’t get too manly looking.” My other favorite is, “Don’t get too skinny!” People are always going to have an opinion or be judgmental. As long as I am happy with how my body looks and feels, I am going to continue what I love to do.

Do you use a coach or nutritionist and how have they impacted your journey?

Yes, I have two coaches who have guided me along this journey. They provide me not only with training and nutrition, but with the motivation and encouragement necessary in this sport.

Do you have a couple mentors that help you keep track on your goals that you’d like to credit people close to you or that you look to for inspiration from afar?

Kayla Jindra is my biggest inspiration and motivator by far. She and Derek Bluett are always by my side. Every time I doubt myself or think that I can’t handle everything on my plate, they are right there feeding me with words of encouragement to put me back into focus.

Share anything additional that you’d like people to know about you.

I am a proud Registered Nurse working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Tampa and currently in school full-time working on my Master’s Degree to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Florida.
