Slowly, those activities started to grow: more and more international projects were developed, including European trainings and international study visits. In addition, Team MAIS had started to build a market around its services in Animation and Event Management. Eventually a team of professional and semi-professional animators was created, trained and hired to bigger and more complex events. On the projects front, the group brought the international experience to the local level and started to design and develop community development projects in several neighbourhoods, schools and organisations, based in active methodologies and non-formal learning. In 2007, Team MAIS was formalised as a company specialised in events, training and consultancy for the third sector but also for private and public sector. Nowadays, we see ourselves and process facilitators and product innovators. The company is focused in supporting professionals and organisations reach their full potential, by providing consultancy and training mostly, but not only, about innovative learning approaches and creative processes. We do this in Portugal but also in other European countries. This means our team can be helping a private company in Lisbon to innovate more on one day, supporting teachers from rural areas to be more effective in their class the next day and sitting with young people, in Sweden, discussing the refugee crisis before the week is over. 41
