We talk about 8 key-competences, basic
and soft skills, (Communication in the
mother tongue, Communication in foreign
languages; Mathematical competence
and basic competences in science and
technology; Digital competence; Learning
to learn; Social and civic competences;
Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship;
and Cultural awareness and expression):
not only they can discover and empower
all or some of these (and more), but can
also assess these through reflection and
evaluation tools in order to get awareness
of themselves and improving the limits.
Another thing they gain is the attitude
to participate because they experiment
freedom of expression and that
no-judgement attitude all around.
This facilitates their learning process
and makes them feel able to “take the
floor”. In these activities participants can
gain a lot of support and motivation,
and can experiment the power of
cooperation, cooperative problem
solving and group support. We work
a lot on this: one of our missions is
to build a different environment,
where developing authentic human
relationships cooperation, peace,
awareness, learning and participation!
