EXCLUSIVE PREVIEWS :

’ s always something new and exciting under development around the flight sim community , and it ’ s always nice to just take a moment , sit down , and drool over the amazing previews and teasers that publishers and producers make public prior to any release . In this issue we ’ ve been able to procure some exclusive early previews of the upcoming HS748 model from JustFlight and Aeroplane Heaven .
We had the opportunity to ask Martyn Northall , the person managing the HS748 project a few questions :
What sort of research usually goes into making an add-on such as the HS748 ? ( Michelle )
For an aircraft such as the HS-748 , where we have been unable to get access to the real aircraft , our research consists of many hours spent collecting together and studying reference material ( photos , videos and manuals ). We also obtain blueprints to allow us to accurately model the aircraft and find real-world pilots and engineers to assist us with the development and testing phases of the project . ( Martyn )
How is it usually decided which airlines & liveries are included with an add-on such as your upcoming HS748 ? ( Michelle )
Sometimes we are limited by the number of airlines that have used the aircraft but in the case of something like the HS-748 which has been used around the world , we will include liveries for the most popular airlines and try to ensure the best coverage – including a range of airlines from Europe , North America , Africa , Asia etc . We will also listen to customer feedback once the product has been announced and occasionally include a livery at the request of a tester . One of our testers is a HS-748 crewman for Air Creebec in Canada , so we had to include their livery ! ( Martyn )
I ’ ve noticed in the previews that a cargo version of the HS748 will be included , can we expect to see other variants of the aircraft ? ( Michelle )
