The Quantum Academy 2014-2015
Battle of the Brains started its first
elimination round, July 21-31 featuring the
Nutrition Month Celebration.
“Battle of the Brains” is a school
activity in partnership with GENYO which
gives each student a chance to showcase his
or her brainpower, “ T. Dealson Bagorio,
the committee head of the event said.
The said elimination was open to all
students and pupils in all grade levels and
was contested by house in three different
categories: the primary ( Grades 1-3), the
intermediate ( Grades 4-6 ), and the
secondary ( Grade 7-10 ). The elimination
was done online with T. Jipsy Falle,
GENYO
consultant,
facilitating.
In
addition, this round opens great chances to
the winners to participate in the grand
finals, February 2015.
Each grade level was represented by
the first place winner. For the primary
category, Grade 1, Cassey Raiza S. Bisnar
from the Azure House, Grade 2,
GianVeronePanila from Crimson, and
Grade 3, Sienna Lyne K. Juliano from Gold.
For the intermediate category, Grade
4, Bianca Veronica B. Phillimore from
Azure, Grade 5, Joshua G. Salangsang from
the Crimson, and Grade 6, Akrira Shanely
G. Sanidad from the Emerald House.
In the Secondary category, Grade 7,
Ralph G’Muel S. Batalon from the Crimson
House, Grade 8, Daryl Joy P. Tingal from
Gold, in Grade 9A, Seth Melchizedek T.
Alegado from Azure, Grade 9B, Kim G.
Ruiz from Emerald, Grade 10, Ma. Jayna
Koleen F. Omila from the Crimson House.
Sienna Juliano, Akira Sanidad, and
Koleen Omila got the highest points in
their respective categories.

To enhance students’ awareness about the
importance of the United Nations and to honor the different
Philippine presidents, The
Quantum Academy, Inc.
celebrated the Social Studies
and United Nations Week at
the school campus, October
20-23.
The four-day activity was participated by students
from Grades 1-10.
The highlight of the said activity was the speech
choir competition which was contested by grade level. Each
class was assigned a specific Philippine president to feature.
Each pupil or student had to write a poem about him or her
emphasizing his or her achievements and important
contributions to the country. The chosen piece would then
be memorized and would be the piece for the contest.
President Manuel L. Quezon was assigned to Grade1,
President Ferdinand E. Marcos to Grade 2, President
Manuel Roxas to Grade 3, President Sergio Osmena to
Grade 4, President Ramon Magsaysay to Grade 5, President
Carlos P. Garcia to Grade 6, President Emilio Aguinaldo to
Grade 7, president Corazon Aquino to Grade 8, and
President Joseph Estrada to Grade 9.
Grade 1-AM, Grade 1-PM, Grade 2-AM, Grade2PM and Grade3 competed against each other where Grade 3
emerged as the champion.
