who since 1992 presents with professional regularity annual collections, which attract every year a public of fashionistas during the week of the Parisian haute couture.

Imane Ayissi's creations are directly inspired by his African melting pot. Far from the reductive representations of a black Continent, of which only wax is the finery, Imane Ayissi undertakes every season to highlight textile treasures from a neglected or ignored heritage. His creations combine craftsmanship, ultra-modern cutting, a clever combination of traditional and modernism where deep Africa meets the West, in a frenzy of colors and authentic forms. On June 30, 2019, Imane Ayissi presented Mbeuk Idourrou with his new Fall Winter 2019 - 2020 collection at the Mona Bismarck American Center located at 34 Avenue New York in Paris, as part of the Paris week of haute couture, in front of an audience that was conquered as usual by his artistic skill. In a friendly and open interview with our editorial, Imane Ayissi builds us on this new creation, reviews some highlights of his career, and gives us his opinion on the context of global fashion and the place of Africa in the concert dress of the nations, if we can really speak of exchanges between the areas and the dress styles of the northern and southern hemispheres, in the era of hyper connectivity.
