Fabien Gravillon in Martin Garrix and Macklemore Music video

Guillaume Ajavon

You are also a voice actor or voiceover as the pros say, on series and films including NCIS, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, Shameless, Chicago Fire, New York, Special Unit, Elementary, Minijusticiers, Tales of Tinga Tinga, and many more others. Sticking your voice into a role you haven't played, is it easier than playing the part? if you had to choose between the two, what would you choose?

Fabien Gravillon: Lending your voice to a foreign actor is not something easy. You have to respect his energy, his sensitivity and above all not betray his play. Without forgetting that the dubbing exercise is a very complicated technique that must be learned.

I would say both are equally difficult for different reasons.

In dubbing the difficulty is mainly due to the technique and the fact that one is obliged to be at the service of the play of another actor. In filming everything is important, not only the voice, but we must also be concerned with looks, make ourselves available for the cameras, be comfortable with your body, manage movements when staging a sequence etc. ….

If I had to choose, I would choose both because in dubbing you can play characters that you will never be given on set. And then we have a lot of fun, we can go from a horror film to a cartoon the same day (laughs).

And filming is just magic. The atmosphere with the technical crew, the director, staging, the cast, the trips etc ... I love it.

In 2009 you tried your hand at music with an Album called "Ma lumière" in collaboration with Because Music. Why did you think you had to tease with music?

Fabien Gravillon: I like the musical world, and I also like to sing.

My style is zouk and kizomba.

In 2009 we will say that it was a test but why not

try the adventure again in the future….

In 2016 you decide to leave for the United States, and moved to Los Angeles. So, when you arrive in this cinema den; what are you saying to yourself?
