referrals, but that doesn’t happen anymore. I believe
everyone feels more connected and more supported.
MacLean: I think a burden has been lifted off of us.
This school had this awful reputation, as far back as
the mid-90s, that it was an awful place to go. But,
truly, the teachers are now happy, students are happy
and parents are here volunteering all the time and
working in the classrooms. In fact, we now have a
social committee that put together a bowling outing
for staff; this didn’t happen before. And additionally,
our academics are improving in line with the culture.
