Volunteer Program

It has been yet another vibrant year in the Fitzroy Learning Network volunteer program , which has continued to grow and develop . We currently have close to 250 volunteers contributing their time and energy across the various volunteer programs . Each volunteer brings with them unique and invaluable skills according to their own life / study / work experience , and with continued support and kindness , the volunteers of the Fitzroy Learning Network enable us to reach out to the community to the extent that we do . It is always heartening to see the generosity and mutual respect between the students and volunteers , values on which the Fitzroy Learning Network is based .
We have had around 15 to 30 volunteers join the Network in each of the four volunteer intakes throughout the year . Foundation House have supported the training and orientation process again for us this year , providing invaluable insight for our volunteers on the refugee experience and the best ways in which the community can assist the resettlement process .
