The EAL P1 program is a mixed level class designed to respond to the increased demand from high level Preliminary and low level Certificate I learners. The EAL P1 program runs three days per week and under a partnership agreement with the Yarra City Council, it is timetabled in the Fitzroy Library’s training room. These measures have also encouraged more mothers with children under school age to enrol in our programs. We currently have seven mothers of eight children coming to the EAL classes. Currently there are Over the past twelve months Fitzroy Learning Network has also experienced a significant increase in Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)* funded clients. The number of AMEP clients has grown steadily from 7 to 30 participating students. AMEP Contract KPIs of Reach, Retention and Intensity have all been important considerations for increasing AMEP client participation. Increasing number of offerings such as the Certificate III and EAL P1; extending class duration from twelve to sixteen hours per week; delivering the same amount of hours over fewer days, have all contributed to meeting the KPIs and increase AMEP client participation. Audits * The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is a settlement English program funded by the Australian Government. The Education Programs underwent the following external audits: AQTF and VRQA audit for the Reregistration of RTO status NEAS/AMEP audit for the continued delivery of AMEP Contract * Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF- Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration) Victorian Registration Qualification Authority (VRQA – Guidelines for VET Providers) * National English Auditing Services (NEAS) Acknowledgments The continued success of FLN’s learning programs is in no small way directly attributed to our dedicated team of highly qualified, experienced and energetic teachers. Each of our teachers bring their own individual talents for engaging a wide variety of student temperaments, talents and skills to encourage each learner to make the most out of their studies. FLN’s student administration management of enrolments and marketing has undertaken a process of continuous improvement throughout 2015. This process has been well supported by talented and professional team of Administrative Officers who have reviewed and problem solved issues both large and small. Equally the student support services provided by the FLN Volunteer Coordinator and the Refugee and Community Support Worker have boosted and supported the quality of student participation and satisfaction in all of our teaching programs. Thanks to the enduring efforts of our student and staff for making 2015 a fabulous year of learning. 8
